Cold Brew: FAQs & Recipes!

Is it the same as iced coffee?

NO! Cold brew is NOT iced coffee or hot coffee poured over ice. It is actually coffee that is made cold from the beginning!

OK, so how is it different?

In short, cold brew coffee is much smoother and less acidic than regular or iced coffee, but it does have higher caffeine levels.

It's made by soaking medium-coarse ground coffee in the refrigerator for several hours - often overnight. The long, slow process of steeping the coffee uses time, rather than heat or pressure (espresso, Aeropress), to extract the flavor and caffeine from the coffee. This results in an ultra-smooth, higher-caffeine, cold coffee that has little to no bitterness or acidity, and loads of silky, chocolatey, caramelly goodness.

Que cool! How do I drink it?
